Payment Terms

We accept payments through Stripe (credit card) and Paypal.

Stripe

To complete a payment online, please enter your card information at checkout. You can use your Wallets if they are linked to a card or bank account, but can also store monetary value.

PayPal

You can pay with Paypal, either you have or you haven’t a Paypal account.

How to pay through PayPal without an account?

To make a payment through PayPal without opening an account yourself, you’ll have to have the recipient send you an invoice or money request. This means you’ll receive an email with either a detailed invoice — usually if you’re paying a business — or a simple note explaining what the money is needed for.

Embedded in the email will be a ‘Pay now’ button, which is all you need to make the payment without opening a PayPal account yourself.

Step 1: Click on ‘Pay now’ in the email or invoice you’ve received

Assuming you’ve received the email detailing the payment, simply click on the ‘Pay now’ button.⁴ If you can’t see the email, it’s worth checking your trash or spam folders, in case it has been sent there.

Step 2: Enter your credit or debit card details

You’ll now be given the option to open a PayPal account yourself and pay that way. However, if you don’t want to do that, you just select the credit or debit card option and enter the details for the card you wish to use.

Delivery Policy

Our goal is to deliver cakes within 48 hours of your order. We do not deliver on Sundays (except in Thessaloniki area where we can deliver on Sunday). We do not deliver also on Christmas, Easter, New Year’s Day, March 25th, October 28th and all national and religious celebrations. You must send us at least two days earlier your orders if you want to deliver sweets on the chosen dates.

When you order, you can select delivery date. If you do not enter delivery date, we will deliver your cake in the first available date. That is, between 24-48 hours after your order.

Please have in mind that we are a delivery service. We do not own a pastry shop. We collaborate with a network of many pastry shops in Greece. Therefore the only responsible for the quality of the cake is the pastry shop or bakery that we collaborate. Due to the fact that we collaborate with more than 60 different pastry shops, it’s impossible for all the cakes that we deliver to have the same appearance. Your cake may differ in appearance from the photos in products’ page, but it will have the highest standards of quality and freshness.

Important Note: Shipping charges are calculated in checkout and there is a Flat rate of 10 euros for mainland deliveries and 20 euros for islands (Mykonos, Santorini, Crete etc).

Return Policy

Due to the type of the products that we deliver, you must understand that it is impossible for us to return the products that you order. Our service is based on fast delivery of sweets in order to preserve their quality and freshness. But in order to help you correct a false order: eg you misspelled a recipient’s name or address, we give you a 12 hours period where you can cancel completely your order or change the false data that you’ve provide to us. You must send us an e-mail at info@sendacake.gr with SUBJECT: Order cancellation and give us your name, type of cake and date of your order. We cannot guarantee order cancellation or alteration after that 12 hours period.

Inaccessible delivery location

If by any reason, delivery location is inaccessible to our delivery couriers, then we will contact recipient and inform him/her to go to our partner’s pastry shop to get the cake himself/herself. In that case, we will refund delivery cost, usually 10 or 20 euros, depending in delivery location. Refund is available only with PayPal.

Delivery Method

We hand deliver your cakes, minutes after we receive them from the nearest bakery.

Non Delivery

If the recipient is not available to receive the cake in the day of delivery or the next, your payment is non-refundable. If the recipient declines to accept your gift, you payment is non-refundable, too. If by any chance delivery is not possible from our part and recipient collect the cake from our partner’s store, we will refund only the shipping cost.

Stock Items

Due to the nature of our products we do not not keep our products in stock. All the sweets that you’re ordering are custom made according your order. We keep that policy in order to serve fresh and high quality cakes and pastry.
